I get rather the feeling that this horse may be the &#8220;getting there under my own steam&#8221; steed, but it&#8217;s a bit of a ham, high-stepping, head up, adding to its rider&#8217;s mystique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That, of course, is no bad thing. A ruler of the early medieval period needed to have some grip on self promotion, as well adjudicating when their people turned to them, choosing when to make peace and how to make war.
