In the dim and distant past I worked two 2-foot high trees in Nested Fly Stitch (on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blog.virtuosewadventures.co.uk\/wordpress\/2010\/03\/16\/the-persian-fantasy-finished\/\">Persian Fantasy Screen<\/a>) and they drove me nearly demented! However, it does create a solid coverage that isn&#8217;t fishbone stitch or satin stitch, and I wanted to make sure that the various leaves varied in coverage and tone. This is the &#8220;Heavy&#8221; end of the scale!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-medium\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.blog.virtuosewadventures.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/StemAndChain.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"232\" src=\"http:\/\/www.blog.virtuosewadventures.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/StemAndChain-300x232.jpg\" alt=\"Stem And Chain\" class=\"wp-image-12576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.blog.virtuosewadventures.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/StemAndChain-300x232.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.blog.virtuosewadventures.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/StemAndChain-768x594.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.blog.virtuosewadventures.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/StemAndChain.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption>Stem And Chain<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>And this is the &#8220;Light&#8221; end of the scale &#8211; just outlines, in stem or chain stitch.
