I mounted him on a circle of card and then didn&#8217;t make any more progress..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.blog.virtuosewadventures.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/StartingBackingPanel.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"http:\/\/www.blog.virtuosewadventures.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/StartingBackingPanel-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Starting Backing Panel\" class=\"wp-image-12176\" \/><\/a><figcaption>Starting Backing Panel<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>But I have now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m using leftover fragments of silk from various Thistle Threads courses to do a rather tame crazy patchwork circle to cover the padding for the back, and then he can hang or be propped in a corner somewhere, looking cheery. I really like this stitch &#8211; a simple, but extremely effective variation.
